Contra Rebirth - Co-Op Remake, Coming to Wii

Well, May is turning out to be quite the month for retro remakes. It’s an exciting time for retro fans! Konami has decided to join in the fun with an all new sprite remake of Contra. Thats right, a new SPRITE remake. Looks like the game is slated for a Japanese release date for now (May 12th). Punch Out!! for the Wii Seen on YouTube

Looks like the hype is starting to build up for the upcoming release of Punch Out. Although I didn’t get to play the game at GDC, it still looks to be an instant Wii classic. Game is scheduled to be released in North America May 18th, 2009. Europe’s release date is May 22nd, 2009.
