Coverage of California Extreme 2009 - Pictures

This year’s California Extreme featured an even bigger venue then last year, which meant even more arcades. It was a great mixture of new and classic arcades. I found myself playing the hell out of every pinball machine I laid my eyes on, taking advantage of the fading fast genre. Also making a present at the event was Missile Command, Space Invaders and Space Invaders Extreme, Tron, Spy Hunter, Donkey Kong, Moonwalker, Tempest, and Bionic Commando to name a few. Hey folks, its about that time for California’s best retro game show. If you haven’t heard of the event before it’s basically an annual event held in the San Jose, CA area where arcade enthusiast get their cabinets together for the public to play for free. So I finally got a chance this weekend to check out Giant Robot’s Game Over art exhibit, and it looks like it was quite a better turn out compared to last years event.
