It looks like the neo-retro/re-imagining/remake of TMNT is getting a release date of July 22nd. This timed exclusive Xbox 360 release looks to be a nice update to the original, if the price is right. Well, May is turning out to be quite the month for retro remakes. It’s an exciting time for retro fans! Konami has decided to join in the fun with an all new sprite remake of Contra. Thats right, a new SPRITE remake. Looks like the game is slated for a Japanese release date for now (May 12th). Here is some great news for fans of the Outrun series (which should be everyone). Outrun will be heading to XBLA and PSN (Europe) next week. There will also be an online competition with the chance to win a trip to Maranello, Italy! Here’s more detail’s Via Joystiq, The competition will be a simple race to the finish line with no restrictions on vehicle choice, meaning players can use whatever cars they manage to unlock in the game.
